Position Overview:

The Licensed Audiologist performs comprehensive audiologic and tinnitus evaluations using evidence-based, ethical, best practices. Creates a five-star patient experience with hearing aid evaluations, fittings and follow ups through motivational interviewing and counseling techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Professional interactions with patients, physicians, and colleagues.
  • Routine diagnostic and physiological assessment of audiological function.
  • Conduct audiometric evaluations and make professional recommendations for appropriate hearing devices.
  • Comprehensive tinnitus evaluations.
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • A willingness to go above and beyond to provide quality care and establish rapport with patients.
  • Complete detailed patient journal notes and hearing test evaluation summaries.
  • Troubleshoot and service hearing aids.
  • Continuing education and professional development, keeping up with current research and trends.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate of Audiology from an accredited University and an Oklahoma State License.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge including hearing aid programming software.

Position Overview:

An audiology assistant provides supervised assistance to the audiologist. The audiology assistant helps with walk-ins for minor hearing aid repairs and Bluetooth troubleshooting. They provide counseling on the care and maintenance of hearing aids and help answer general questions about the devices. They provide professional support and establish rapport with patients to help them adjust and thrive with their hearing aids and connectivity. Must be very detailed oriented and able to handle multiple tasks at once.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hearing aid repairs as needed such as receiver replacement, changing wax guards, filters, and tubing.
  • If repairs cannot be made in the clinic, prepare devices and paperwork to send to manufacturer.
  • Prepare hearing aids and fitting paperwork for the audiologist prior to the patient’s fitting appointment.
  • Process repairs, returns and new stock. Ensure orders and serial numbers and warranty dates are correctly entered into the computer.
  • Answer phone calls to assist with scheduling, troubleshooting or general clinic questions.
  • Calling patients to check in after their fitting appointment.
  • Assist patients with Bluetooth troubleshooting and connectivity issues.
  • Strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervising audiologist.

Position Overview:

A Patient Care Coordinator is the first smiling face a patient sees when they step into the clinic. This person must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced setting. In charge of answering incoming phone calls, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, handling walk-ins, managing patients checking in for appointments, corresponding with patients regarding hearing aid warranties and perform minor hearing aid troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Check in patients, ensure physician or third-party referrals are in place prior to being seen.
  • Collect and review intake paperwork, verify insurance and demographic information.
  • Collect copays and account balances.
  • Call patients to confirm upcoming appointments.
  • Check and process all incoming faxes. Call new patients to schedule and follow up with referrals from physicians.
  • Scan all patient paperwork, audiograms, and fitting paperwork.
  • Process repairs outgoing and incoming. Ensure serial numbers and warranty dates are correctly entered into the computer.
  • Answer phone calls to assist with scheduling, troubleshooting or general clinic questions. Gather insurance information to inform patients of copay or needed referrals.

The billing specialist is responsible for complete, accurate and timely insurance billing for two audiology practice locations. Able to research and problem solve rejected or denied claims. Verifies chart documentation prior to billing. Able to professionally communicate insurance benefit details to patients regarding prior authorizations and benefit inquiries in writing and in person.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and bills all insurance claims in a timely manner either electronically or by mail.
  • Verifies chart documentation prior to billing.
  • Ensure payments are received in a timely manner.
  • Follow up, reprocess, and investigate denied or unpaid claims.
  • Review patient accounts and send out statements.
