Hearing Aid Service Changes During the COVID-19 Pandemic
At Fine Hearing Care, we are dedicated to providing consistent, high-quality, reliable service at all times. While we feel the most successful hearing healthcare is administered face-to-face, we understand that many of you may not be comfortable coming into the office at this time. Therefore, we have taken this opportunity to develop some alternative ways for you to safely continue receiving the care you need.
Cleaning & Sanitizing
While infection control has always been a high priority in the office, we have implemented more stringent policies to help ensure patient and staff safety. All exam rooms and equipment are cleaned and sanitized between patients, and clinical air purifiers are active in all patient areas. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (i.e. masks, hand sanitizer, etc) are also utilized by staff and patients to reduce risk. Should you decide to come into the office, we will make every effort to provide as safe an environment as possible.
Scheduling
Scheduling appointments can still be done via phone or online chat. We are making every attempt to stagger scheduled patients in an effort to reduce patient-to-patient interactions. You may also call when you arrive for your appointment and wait in your car until a provider is ready to see you.
Hearing Testing
Unfortunately, diagnostic testing must be completed in the office to ensure accuracy of results when determining the type and degree of hearing loss or severity of tinnitus. All necessary protocols will be in place to provide as safe an environment as possible.
Virtual Consultations
If you are unsure what the next step in your hearing healthcare journey should be, please contact us to schedule either a virtual or phone consultation. Our providers and staff are ready and willing to help you make educated decisions regarding your care.
Virtual Adjustments & Programming
For current hearing device users, some products can even be programmed virtually! (Internet access and a hearing exam within the past 12 months required.) If you would like to know if your devices are compatible or if you would like to schedule a virtual programming visit, please contact the office and we will be glad to assist you.
For those whose hearing devices are not equipped for online programming, we may be able to make some minor adjustments while you wait in your car! An appointment time must be scheduled so that your provider has time to discuss your concerns and make the necessary adjustments on the computer.
Hearing Aid Repairs and Accessories
Curbside service continues to be available for those things you would generally “walk-in” for, such as quarterly cleanings, repairs and supply pick-up. Just call the office when you arrive and let us know what you need. A staff member will gladly come out and get your devices or deliver supplies to you.
If you have any questions about any of our services or safety protocols, we are here to help! Please don’t hesitate to call, text or email.
