A Diagnostic Hearing Evaluation is the first step in assessing your hearing ability, identifying the type, extent, and specifics of your hearing loss. We’ll ask a series of questions about your medical, work and personal life as it relates to your ears and your hearing.
The evaluation involves several tests to better understand the unique characteristics of your hearing loss, including your ability to detect and understand speech.
Once your hearing evaluation is complete, if the test reveals permanent hearing loss, hearing aids may be recommended to improve your hearing. During your appointment, the provider will go over which sounds are difficult for you to hear and how hearing aids can make a difference. You’ll also have the chance to see and feel different types of hearing aids, and in some cases take them home for a trial.
Our providers will guide you in choosing the right hearing aid style, features, and technology level based on how much hearing loss you have, your lifestyle, and what fits your budget. While the final decision is yours, they’ll provide helpful recommendations based on what they think will work best for you.

We can help make your hearing aids comfortable and get them working again.
Many people are surprised to learn that a buildup of earwax can cause hearing problems. Sometimes the ear produces too much wax which can become impacted and press against the eardrum. This can impair the ability to hear. We can safely remove impacted earwax, something you should not attempt at home.
A careful review of your health history along with audiometric testing will identify the right tinnitus treatment, whether it is hearing aids, maskers, drug therapy, or allergy treatment. Tinnitus management can quiet the noise in your ears and may be right for you.
